Metal Core PCB

A Metal Core Printed Circuit Board (MCPCB), is a type of printed circuit board that has a base metal material. The key of the metal core is to redirect heat away from crucial areas to less important places such as metal heatsink backing. The Metal Core Printed Circuit Boards (MCPCB) is better than FR4 and CEM3 printed circuit boards in thermal conductivity and heat dissipation.

Metal Core PCBs(MCPCB) have ability to integrate a dielectric polymer layer with higher thermal conductivity and lower thermal resistance. This ability supports MCPCB to protect the important electronic components and to satisfy the strict standards of heat dissipation. Usually, a Metal Core Printed Circuit Board is eight times or nine times faster than a regular FR4 printed circuit board.
